Queen's Health System Sr. Facilities Planner (Full Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acts as the primary senior-level contact throughout the facility planning project.

• Leads Facilities Design and Construction teams and the Project Delivery Team and communicates goals and project status with the Project Delivery team.

• Leads Facilities Planners and activities.

• Performs duties of a Facilities Planner.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Continuous: sitting.

• Frequent: standing.

• Occasional: walking, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of one pound up to ten pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years experience in healthcare facility planning or managing healthcare facility projects.

• Ten (10) years experience in healthcare facility planning and projects preferred.

• Prior supervisory/leadership experience.

• Prior experience in managing all aspects of construction projects (i.e., budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders, contract negotiations).

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare construction, TJC, ADA, and other governing agencies

• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations related to real estate and land development, local entitlement, and permitting processes.

• Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to a client and team to achieve project goals.

• Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts.

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive leadership.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Project, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to interact with multiple clients and proactively anticipate their needs.

• Experience providing oversight of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), Transition Planning, and Activation.
