Queen's Health System Epic Customer Service Support (Full Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical and application support to clients in planning, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of applications systems and products.

• Performs a variety of technical functions independently for moderate to intermediately complex applications systems.

• Is a technical resource and provides direction and training to the Associate as required.

• Assists in formulation of procedures and best practice for users of applications.

• Participates in information system planning with assigned area(s), both short and long term.

• Serves as a resource in setting priorities and recommending technical directions based on programs, systems, services, resources and available technology.

• Manages, monitors and completes activities to ensure appropriate and timely delivery of assigned technical tasks.

• Develops documentation of applications, systems and products, conducts end-user training, responsible for resolving and/or coordinating resolution of application or technical tasks.

• Provides on-call and after hours support.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

• Frequent: walking.

• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.

• Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Work schedule includes rotational on-call support, 24 hours/7 days a week as required.

• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Sciences/Computer Science or healthcare related field; four (4) years work experience in comparable job may be substituted for educational requirement.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license required in accordance with Hawaii state law rules and regulations.

• Meet and comply with qualifications set forth in QMC Fleet Safety Policy.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• In addition to educational requirement, minimum one (1) year experience in information systems in two (2) or more of the following areas: applications design, selection, implementation and support, on line transaction processing systems, systems software, performance evaluation and tuning, automated systems and operations, system integration, artificial intelligence, expert systems, and design, implementation, and support.

• Previous experience serving clients/accounts in healthcare highly preferred.

• Prior experience in healthcare IT preferred.

• Depending upon areas of assignment, proficiency/certification in Epic Build for designated area or shall agree to become proficient/certified within designated period of time as a condition of employment.
