Queen's Health System Enterprise Access Advisor - Ambulatory (Full Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the development, monitoring, and updating of Epic-based provider templates that focuses on improving patient access, provider scheduling rates, and provider productivity for the ambulatory clinics. Ensures ambulatory clinics scheduling templates abide by the Enterprise Access guidelines and standards.

• Serves as a consultant and resources to Ambulatory and Patient Access Leadership on ambulatory clinic scheduling, scheduling templates, Enterprise Access guidelines and standards.

• Works with Providers, Clinics, and Patient Access Leadership and Schedulers to identify, facilitate, organize, and legitimize enterprise access focus in the ambulatory clinics, and to streamline the appointment scheduling process.

• Provides training on template builders to ensure consistency and adherence to approved scheduling standards.

• Maintains close working relationship with the Patient Support Center (PSC).

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

• Frequent: walking.

• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Certified in Cadence or EpicCare Ambulatory preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years of experience in any one (1) or a combination of the following areas: ambulatory access, patient access, or clinical operations.

• Two (2) years of leadership demonstrated in experience in project management, process improvement, reengineering, or change management and measurement.

• Prior experience in large, employed multispecialty physician enterprises across multiple regions preferred.

• Experience to demonstrate:

o Extensive knowledge of healthcare operating systems and access to care.

o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.

o Advanced interpersonal skills to lead and experience working collaboratively and effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams, and with executives, providers, and staff at all levels.

o Fluency (non-certified or certified) in Epic EHR technologies and workflows (i.e., Radiant, Referrals, MyChart, and others) preferred.
